New York to host expert meeting of Iran and Group 5+1 on May 5-9, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said, Irib news reported on April 19.

The parties plan to discuss and prepare the text of future complex agreement between Iran and P5+1, according to Abbas Araqchi.

Previous meeting of experts from Iran and Group 5+1 was held on April 3-5 in Vienna under chairmanship of Hamid Baeideenejad, from Iran, and Stephan Clement, Assistant to EU Foreign Policy Chief.

The 4th round of Iran nuclear talks will take place in Vienna on May 13.

The U.S. and its Western allies suspect Iran of developing a nuclear weapon - something that Iran denies. The Islamic Republic has on numerous occasions stated that it does not seek to develop nuclear weapons, using nuclear energy for medical research instead.

Under a six-month interim deal between Iran and the P5+1(the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany) which took effect on Jan. 20, the six major powers agreed to give Iran access to its $4.2 billion in revenues blocked overseas if the country fulfills the deal's terms which offer sanctions relief in exchange for steps on curbing the Iranian nuclear program.
The two sides intend to continue their talks to reach a final agreement to fully resolve the decade-old dispute over the Islamic Republic's nuclear energy program.
