Talks in Vienna to compile draft text of comprehensive agreement

Intensive talks between Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and EU Foreign Policy Chief Catherine Ashton ended temporarily to start again at 21:00 local time, IRNA reported.

Zarif and Ashton, accompanied by their deputies, started intensive and heavy talks here on the first day of Vienna IV talks with an agenda to begin compiling draft text of the comprehensive agreement.

Upon his arrival in Vienna Airport on Tuesday, Zarif told reporters that nuclear talks between Iran and Group 5+1 will enter a new phase, which is sensitive and difficult, and the two sides will talk and exchange views on compiling text of the joint comprehensive agreement.

As Zarif and also his deputy Abbas Araqchi had said, the new phase of nuclear talk will have three rounds, two of which will be held in June and the third round will be held on July, 2014.

Head of Iran's nuclear negotiating team has said that nuclear talks in July would be very intensive and it may last long, so the negotiating teams have been informed that they should allocate the whole days of their time for the talks.
