Russia appreciates the operations of coordinating a comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear program on the eve of a round of talks among "six" international mediators and Iran in Vienna on June 16, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told RIA Novosti after a meeting with the Iranian delegation in Rome.
"One can say that the work on comprehensive solution to the problems related to the Iranian nuclear program is underway," he said. "After today's conversation, we feel certain positive expectations on the eve of a round of negotiations in Vienna on Monday."
Ryabkov met with Iran's Deputy Foreign Ministers Abbas Arakchi and Majid Takht-Ravanchi in Rome.
"Our meeting with the Iranians did not involve any specific decisions on the text of the agreement," Ryabkov said. "The task was to determine an opportunity to advance to the next round and to reveal possible serious problems. An additional perspective is observed in some aspects of the negotiation process."
