Tehran, Iran, June 20

Iranian insurance companies have once again started cooperation with foreign insurance firm.
Deputy Director of Central Insurance of Iran Fariba Noohi said that the move follow the Geneva agreement between Iran and the P5+1 group of countries, Iran's Mehr News Agency reported on June 20.
"A foreign insurance company will start its operation in the health sector in near future," she said.
She went on to note that based on the laws no foreign insurance company can operate independently in Iran, so they need to cooperate with domestic firms.
"A number of foreign insurance companies have requested to operate in Iran following the Geneva deal," she said.
It was reported previously that the country plans to provide the base for foreign banks and insurance companies to establish their offices on Kish Island.
