Iranian Foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has urged Iran, Qatar, and Turkey red crescent societies to aid Palestinian people under Israeli attacks in Gaza.

In separate telephone talks with Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and Qatari Foreign Minister Khalid bin Mohamed Al-Attiyah, Zarif emphasized the need to expedite humanitarian aid to people in Gaza, IRNA reported on July 28.

On July 27, Zarif urged the global community to put pressure on Israel to end attacks in Gaza.

On July 25, Zarif demanded Egypt permit Iran to send humanitarian aid for Gaza residents.

Zarif said that an Iranian plane carrying humanitarian aid is waiting for an Egyptian flight permit.

Since July 7, Israel has attacked the Palestinian coastal territory with fierce air and naval bombardments with the stated aim of halting Palestinian rocket fire.

More than 1000 Palestinians including women and children were killed so far during the operation dubbed 'Enduring Rock.'
