Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday discussed Iranˈs nuclear program with International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Yukiya Amano, IRNA reported.
Iranian deputies foreign minister, Abbas Araqchi and Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and Director General for Political and International Affairs at Iranˈs Foreign Ministry Hamid Baˈeedinejad were present in the meeting.
Amano arrived in Tehran early Sunday morning for consultations on Iran-IAEA cooperation based on the Cooperation Framework Agreement signed with top Iranian officials.
During his stay, Amano is scheduled to meet President Hassan Rouhani, Head of Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi and several other officials of the country.
This is Amanoˈs 2nd visit to Iran since Rouhani elected president. His first visit, took place in November 2013, led to the signing of the Iran-IAEA Cooperation Framework Agreement.
