By Elena Kosolapova - Trend: Tajik's capital, the city of Dushanbe will host the tenth meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic, cultural and technical cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran, Asia-Plus reported on September 1.

The issues of investment, trade, exchange of experience in the banking and financial sectors are on the agenda of the meeting, according to Tajik Ministry of Energy and Water Resources.

The parties also discuss the issue of the completion of the Istiqlol tunnel and functioning of the Sangtuda-2 hydro power plant. Moreover, the commission will discuss the prospects of joint work in the field of geology, roads and many other areas.

The meeting of the intergovernmental commission is to take place on the eve of the official visit of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani to Tajikistan, which is scheduled for September 12-13.

It will be Rouhani's first visit to Tajikistan since he officially became the head of Iran.
