An explosion in a 2-story residential building in Iranian north eastern city of Mashahd on Sept. 4 damaged 12 neighboring residences.
The explosion took place at 11:30 local time (GMT +4:30 hours) in the Resalat district in Mashhad, the country's IRNA news agency reported. It resulted in the total collapse of two buildings, meanwhile another residential building was damaged by 30 percent. Ten other houses also were partly damaged as a result of the blast.
Mashhad's Fire Department rescued a 25-year old man from the rubble.
The rescue operation continues, Abolfazl Teymouri an official with the fire department said, adding there is no report on possible casualties so far.
The cause of the blast is being investigated.
