Iran, Hungary sign banking co-op deal

Iran's Tose-e Saderat (Exports Development) Bank signed a memorandum of understanding with the Hungarian Export-Import Bank (Eximbank) on banking cooperation.

The cooperation document was signed by Ali Salehabadi, managing director of the Iranian bank and Zoltán Urbán, the head of Hungarian bank in Budapest, SHANA news agency reported Oct. 23.

Under the deal, the brokerage ties will be established between the two banks, which will lead to boosting economic relations between Iran and Hungary.

The two banks will finance the mutual projects and economic activities between Iran and Hungary under the MoU.

Salehabadi underlined importance of financing the projects, saying it will boost cooperation between the economic companies of the two countries.

Urbán, for his part, expressed Eximbank’s readiness to cooperate with Tose-e Saderat Bank of Iran in financing the intended projects.
