By Fatih Karimov - Trend:

Eight Iranian banks, which are not under the international sanctions, could ease Iran's trade with Qatar.

Valiollah Afkhami-Rad, the director of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran, said eight banks are currently operating in Iran. "The banks are not under the international sanctions. So, we can transfer money to Qatar through the banks."

The banks include both state-run and private ones, Iran's IRNA news agency quoted Afkhami-Rad as saying on September 10.

He put the current bilateral trade between Iran and Qatar at $115 million, saying that a shipping line will be launched between the two countries in the near future.
