By Milad Fashtami - Trend:

Iran plans to complete about 246 projects by the end of the current year (starts on March 21), Iran's Vice President for Planning and Strategic Supervision, Mohammad Bagher Nobakht said.

Nobakht said there are 2,906 incomplete projects in Iran, and 246 of those will be completed, Iran's IRNA News Agency reported on September 23.

"When the current administration started its work, there were too many incomplete projects across the country, so the government decided to complete them, instead of starting new projects," he explained.

Nobakht went on to note that considering the limited budget of the government, it is not possible to inject money into all the projects at the same time.

"The government has put the priority on the projects which are above 80 percent complete," he said.
