Head of Iran's Trade Development Organization said goods worth 23 billion and 700 million dollars have been exported in the first six months of Iranian year.

He added compared with the same period previous year, the figure shows a rise of 22 percent.

Valiollah Afkhamirad, in a meeting of working group of non-oil export development of Golestan province on Tuesday afternoon, said 48 million tons of goods have been exported, which also shows 10 percent increase.

Average price of each ton of exported goods was 444 dollars, which also shows 13 percent increase compared with the same period of last year.

In the same period, 19.6 million tons of goods worth 26 billion dollars was imported which showed 29.5 percent increase in value and 46 percent in weight.

Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade added that average price of every ton of imported goods was one thousand and 328 dollars, which had 11.4 percent decrease.

He continued that Golestan province has geographically and naturally a good position to consider relations with countries such as Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

Afkhamirad said that the province also has potentials in health tourism, which can develop its economic activities.

The deputy minister concluded that by revision in a number of regulations and laws, the conditions will be facilitated for exports.
