Iran’s sedan exports to Azerbaijan increases by 48.8%

Iran has exported 448 sedan cars to Azerbaijan during the first half of the current Iranian fiscal year (from March 21 to Sept. 22, which).

The figure indicates an increase by 48.8 percent in comparison with the same period of last fiscal year, said Iran's Customs Administration.

The total value of the exported cars amounted to $3.105 million in that period, 16.99 percent more year on year.

Around 21.2 metric tons of car spare parts including radiators, clutches worth $264,078 were also exported to Azerbaijan in the 6-month period.

Iran exported $79.449 million worth of sedans and car spare parts in total during the first six months of current fiscal year (Iran's fiscal year starts on March 21).

Iran's car production stood at 521,585 during the period, indicating an increase by 74.3 percent year on year.

Sedan cars output stood at 442,472 in the mentioned period, some 74 percent more than the previous year.

Iran-Azerbaijan trade balance, stood at $215.226 million in the 6-month period, compared to $ 259 million in the same period of the preceding year.

The Islamic Republic exported $227.758 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the period (March 21 - Sept. 22), which indicates a fall by 16.04 percent compared to the same months of the preceding year.
