Iran’s Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Co. adds new vessel to fleet

The managing director of Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company Ali-Akbar Ghanji announced that a new container ship has been added to the company's fleet.

The new vessel has the capacity to carry 2,230 metric tons of weight, Iran's IRIB News Agency reported on Oct. 31.

"The company now has 23 container ships," Ghanji said, adding that the ships' total capacity is around 96,000 metric tons.

"The new vessel has loaded several cargos of cement, stones, glass, and food stuff to deliver to Kazakhstan's Aktau port in its first official trip," he added.

Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company is a subsidiary of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines.
