Iran’s non-oil exports increase by 8% in 3Q14

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $24.82 billion during the first nine months of 2014, indicating an increase by 8 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 59.537 million metric tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 4.42 percent more compared with the first three quarters of 2013, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report published Nov. 3.

The Islamic Republic exported 6.346 million metric tons of non-oil goods, worth $2.79 billion in September 2014.

Liquefied propane worth $ 1.416 billion, liquefied butane worth $1.026 billion and grid polyethylene film worth $1.02 billion, topped the list of Iran's exported non-oil goods.

Liquefied propane exports registered a 155.39-percent increase compared to the first nine months of 2013 in terms of value, meanwhile exports of liquefied butane and grid polyethylene film witnessed increase by 93.65 percent and 54.64 percent respectively.

Iran's overall exports excluding the three mentioned goods increased by 0.57 percent in terms of value and witnessed a 1.7 percent rise in terms of volume compared to the 9-month period of 2013.

The average price for each one metric ton of Iran's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $417, which is 3.43 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $66.971 billion during the first three quarters of 2014.

The figure indicates a rise by 20.9 percent in comparison with $55.35 billion trade turn over during the first nine months of 2013.
