Iran’s exports to China increases 36%

Iran exported 25.74 million metric tons of non-oil goods, worth $6.762 billion to China during the first nine months of 2014.

Iran's non-oil exports to China witnessed an increase of 35.75 percent in terms of value, meanwhile the volume of the Islamic Republic's non-oil exports registered a rise of only 6.5 percent year on year, according to Iranian Customs Administration latest monthly report published Nov. 3.

China was the main importer of Iranian goods in the mentioned period. Beijing's imports accounted for 27.24 percent of Iran's total non-oil exports in terms of value and 42.11 percent in terms of volume.

After China, Iraq (with $4.292 billion), the United Arab Emirates (with $2.799 billion), Afghanistan (with $1.792 billion) and India (with $1.514 billion) were the other four biggest importers of Iranian goods.

The five countries imported 69 percent of Iran's total non-oil exports in terms of value and 77.56 percent in terms of volume in the first nine months of the current year, based on Iran's Customs Administration's report.

The UAE's imports from Iran indicates an increase by 7.33 percent, meanwhile the Islamic Republic's exports to Iraq and India has fallen by 6.07 percent and 17.65 percent respectively.

Iran's exports to Afghanistan also witnessed a 9.23 percent decline during the period in comparison with the first three quarters of 2013.

Tehran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $24.82 billion during the first nine months of 2014, indicating an 8 percent increase year on year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $66.971 billion in the mentioned period.
