A recreational maritime route will be launched soon between Iran's northern Mazandaran province and Russia's Astrakhan port city.
Delavar Bozorgnia, Director of Mazandaran Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts Department, said the projects will be carried out by private sectors of the two countries, Iran's IRIB reported Nov. 8.
The route can be launched from each of ports in Mazandaran province to Astrakhan, he said.
He also said that a direct flight route will be launched from Mazandaran to Russia in the near future.
