Iran’s non-oil exports increase by 7%

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $27.941 billion during the first ten months of 2014, indicating an increase by 7.27 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 66.365 million metric tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 2.39 percent more compared with the first ten months of 2013, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its latest monthly report published Dec. 4.

The Islamic Republic exported 6.828 million metric tons of non-oil goods, worth $3.121 billion in October 2014.

Iran's exports in October has increased by 7.6 percent in terms of volume and 11.86 percent in terms of value respectively from preceding month(m/m).

Liquefied propane worth $1.602 billion (5.73 percent of overall exports), grid polyethylene film worth $1.143 billion (4.1 percent of overall export), liquefied butane worth $1.131 billion (4 percent of total export value) topped the list of Iran's exported non-oil goods.

Liquefied propane exports registered a 116.1-percent increase compared to the first ten months of 2013 in terms of value, meanwhile exports of liquefied butane and grid polyethylene film witnessed increase by 63.1 percent and 52.9 percent respectively.

Iran's overall exports excluding the three mentioned goods increased by 0.83 percent in terms of value, meanwhile declined by 0.02 percent in terms of volume compared to the 10-month period of 2013.

The average price for each one metric ton of Iran's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $421, which is 4.76 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $74.319 billion during the first ten months of 2014.

The figure indicates a 17.16 percent rise in comparison with the $63.436 billion trade turn over during the first ten months of 2013.
