Iran, Turkey discussed bilateral economic relations

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mahmoud Vaezi in a meeting with Turkey's Minister of Development Cevdet Yilmaz on Tuesday discussed bilateral economic and trade relations and ways to remove the obstacles, IRNA reported.

Vaezi, on the head of a delegation, and upon invitation of Cevdet Yilmaz arrived in Ankara on Tuesday.

Vaezi met with Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his second meeting was with Yilmaz.

The two sides reviewed Iran-Turkey cooperation and their role in creation and establishment of peace and stability in the region.

The two ministers underlined effectiveness of joint economic commissions in taking new steps to enhance level of trade and economic cooperation.

The Iranian and Turkish ministers expressed pleasure with establishment of high council of relations and joint cabinet meeting of the two countries co-chaired by the Iranian and Turkish presidents.

They underlined to follow up implementation of the agreements signed in the first meeting of high council of strategic cooperation in Ankara.

Cevdet Yilmaz, for his part, said that the second meeting of high council will be held in Tehran in presence of several cabinet ministers of both governments.
