A Singaporean business delegation headed by the vice-president of Singapore Business Federation has arrived in Iran, IRNA reported Jan. 30.

A 27-member delegation was invited by the Tehran Chamber of Commerce and visited some industrial units in Esfahan provinces. They will visit Tehran on Sunday as well.

The delegation aims to meet with Iran's trade, and investment officials as well as Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, and the Energy and Petroleum ministries' officials.

Singapore exported $680 million worth of goods to Iran in the last fiscal year, 33.8 percent less than the previous year, according to the Iran Custom Administration.

Until 2012, Singapore was one of Iran's oil customers but it reportedly halted Iranian oil imports in mid-2012, when the western countries imposed sanctions on Iran.

Singapore's export to Iran during March 21, 2014 to December 22, 2014 also reached $300 million, indicating a 41.6 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
