Iran issues permit for Air Arabia to launch new flights

The Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has issued a permit for the United Arab Emirate Air Arabia airline to launch new flights to Iran.

Air Arabia will launch two flights per week from Sharjah to Sanandaj and vice versa as of March 12, two flights per week from Sharjah to Lamerd and vice versa as of March 17, three flights per week from Sharjah to Isfahan and vice versa as of April 1, and five flights per week from Sharjah to Mashhad and vice versa as of April 1, Iran's Mehr news agency reported on Feb. 28.

The low-cost airline Air Arabia started flights as of October 7 from Sharjah in the UAE to Abadan in Iran.

The airline is operating three flights a week from Sharjah to Abadan.
