The National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) has announced that it is ready to export 41 million liters of fuel oil and 15 million liters of gas oil per day next Iranian calendar fiscal year (starting March 21).

NIORDC's Deputy Director of Provision and Distribution Hossein Aghayan said that the company will have surplus gas oil and fuel oil as these are gradually replaced by natural gas at domestic consumption units.

He added that the surplus liquid fuels will be sent to the country's southern terminals for export, SHANA news agency reported March 14.

On March 13, Iranian Oil Minister Namdar Bijan Zanganeh said that the country plans to export at least 20 million metric tons of oil products in the next Iranian fiscal year.

He said that increasing oil products export is highly important to the Oil Ministry because it will cover the fund needed for part of the ministry's projects.

According to an official statistics, Iran's petroleum exports and bunkering increased significantly during the current year.

On the other hand, Iran bunkered over 3.1 million metric tons of fuel to ships sailing through the Gulf in the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year, which indicates a 30 percent increase on year.
