Iran’s non-oil exports surpasses $35.7B

Iran's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) surpassed $35.74 billion during the last fiscal year (ended on March 20), indicating an increase of 13.27 percent compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Iran exported some 79.3 million metric tons of non-oil goods during that period which is 2.23 percent less compared with the 12-month period of preceding year, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its annual report published April 7.

Iran exported 18.8 million metric tons of petrochemicals during the period from March 21, 2014 to March 20, 2015, 28.35 percent more year on year. The country's revenues from exporting petrochemicals reached $14.241 billion during the mentioned period, indicating a 31.79 percent increase.

Iran's total exports including condensates surpassed $49.744 billion in last fiscal year, 18.87 percent more compared to preceding year (March 21, 2013-March 20, 2014)

Liquefied propane worth $2.279 billion (6.38 percent of overall exports), methanol worth $1.477 billion (4.13 percent of overall export), liquefied butane worth $1.468 billion (4.11 percent of total export value), grid polyethylene film worth $1.418 billion (3.97 percent of overall export) and tar worth $1.324 billion(3.71 percent of total export) were Iran's other top non-oil exports.

Liquefied propane exports registered an 83-74-percent increase compared to the preceding fiscal year in terms of value, meanwhile exports of liquefied butane and grid polyethylene film witnessed increase by 43.17 percent and 49.31 percent respectively.

The country's methanol exports also registered a rise by 37.54 percent in the last fiscal year.

The average price for each one metric ton of Iran's non-oil goods in the mentioned period was around $451, which is 15.94 percent more than in the previous year.

Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over including condensates stood at $102.22 billion during the period.
