Trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan reached $457.6 million during the last Iranian fiscal year (ended on March 20), 12.3 percent less compared to the preceding year.
Iran exported $435.4 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the period, which indicates a fall by 9.7 percent year on year, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its annual report.
The Islamic Republic exported some 1.82 million metric tons of goods to Azerbaijan during that period which is 28.7 percent less compared the preceding year.
Iran also imported some $22.22 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan during the last fiscal year, 44 percent less year on year.
Iran-Azerbaijan annual trade balance, stood at $413.13 million in the 12-month period, compared to $450 million in the same period of the preceding year (which ended on March 20, 2014).
Iran Customs administration reported that Tehran's exports to Azerbaijan surpassed $482 million, meanwhile Tehran imported $32 million worth of goods from Baku in the Iranian fiscal year of 1392(ended on March 20, 2014).
The Islamic Republic exported 39,839 metric tons of goods, worth $18.61 million to Azerbaijan during the 12th Iranian calendar month of Esfand (Feb. 20-March 20), which indicates a sharp fall of 71.7 percent in terms of volume and a decline by 52.5 percent in terms of value respectively compared to the same period of last year.
The Islamic Republic's non-oil exports (excluding condensates) stood at $35.74 billion during last fiscal year, while imports accounted for $52.477 billion.
Iran's overall non-oil trade turn over including condensates stood at $102.22 billion during the period.
