Trend:

Iran expects Russian S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to be supplied in 2015, Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran Ali Shamkhani said, TASS reported.

"I think that it will be delivered this year," he told reporters.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to lift the ban on the supply of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems to Iran.

"The decree removes the ban on transit of S-300 anti-aircraft missile systems through the territory of the Russian Federation (as well as by air), their removal from the territory of the Russian Federation to the Islamic Republic of Iran, as well as their transfer to the Islamic Republic of Iran outside the Russian Federation by using ships and aircraft under the state flag of the Russian Federation," the statement said.

The decree entered into force on the date of signing. The document amends the presidential decree of September 22, 2010 "On measures to implement the UN Security Council Resolution 1929 of June 9, 2010". The item on the S-300 is excluded.
