By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran will sign a contract, worth €600 million, for importing 500 passenger wagons, Seyed Hassan Mousavinejad, the managing director of Iran's RAJA railway corporation said.

The contract will be signed in the next Iranian calendar month of Ordibehesht (April 21-May 21), Iran's Fars news agency quoted Mousavinejad as saying on April 20.

The name of the company and the country with which the contract will be signed will be announced after signing the contract, he noted.

Meanwhile, Islamic Republic of Iran Railways Company Managing Director Mohsen Pourseyyed Aghaee said March 23 that by the end of the current Iranian year Iran's entire rail network will be equipped with a smart (electronic) control system.
