By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran will hold a conference on discussing ways to facilitate trade with Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan.
The Trade Promotion Organization of Iran will hold the conference on June 14-15, Iran 's Fars news agency reported June 9.
Ambassadors of Iran to the three countries, ambassadors of the countries in Iran, as well as commercial attaches and a number of businessmen from the countries will participate in the conference.
Iraq, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan were the 2nd, 7th, and 12th leading importers of Iranian non-oil goods in the previous Iranian calendar year, which ended on March 20, 2015, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
Iran exported $6.18 billion of non-oil goods to Iraq, $973.6 million of non-oil goods to Turkmenistan , and $435.3 million of non-oil goods to Azerbaijan , while imported respectively $60.3 million, $113.7 million, and $22.2 million of non-oil goods from the countries.
Iran imported $6.344 billion worth of non-oil products in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-May 21), a 13.82 percent drop compared to the same time last year, according to the Iran Customs Administration.
The country's worth of non-oil exports stood at $7.861 billion in the mentioned two months, showing 2.66 percent fall from the same period of time in the previous year.
