Iran is going to buy a specialized aircraft for flight inspection.
The Islamic Republic's Supreme National Security Council has issued permission for buying a flight inspection aircraft, Iranian Airports Co. board of directors member Ahmad Momeni Rokh said.
He said the Iranian Civil Aviation Organization is now following the purchase of a flight inspection aircraft, Tasnim news agency reported June 29.
The official added that right now Iran has under lease a Falcon 2000 aircraft that it uses for flight inspection.
"However, we need an aircraft with specialized panel for doing the flight inspection," Momeni Rokh noted.
He said that despite sanctions, Iran is able to purchase the inspection aircraft it needs.
