Baku, Azerbaijan, July 6

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Germany and Italy are negotiating to dispatch trade delegations to the country, said Hossein Esfahbodi, the Iranian deputy industry, mine, and trade minister.

Germany plans to send a high-ranking delegation to Iran, he said, adding that a 300-member delegation from Italy will travel to Iran soon, Iran 's Mehr news agency quoted Esfahbodi as saying July 6.

"Foreign countries significantly participate in exhibitions which are being held in Iran. Still, there are internationally renowned companies which are waiting for a final nuclear agreement in order to return to the Iranian market," he said.

However, we have so far received no official request from U.S. traders to travel to Iran, he noted.

Several delegations from Europe and Asia have so far visited the country to study the potentials for investing in the country's market once sanctions on the country are lifted and more delegations are expected in the near future.

Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) are in talks to strike a deal over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program by July 9 deadline.

While the six powers try to impose limitations on Iran's nuclear activities, Tehran is pushing for the removal of sanctions on its economy.
