Tehran, Iran, July 22

By Mehdi Sepahvand -- Trend:

The Iranian Embassy in Italy has said the European country has on its agenda to send ministers of foreign affairs and economic development to Iran on August 4.

The move follows prospects of opening the 80-million population market of Iran to foreign countries after a nuclear deal was reached between Iran and the group P5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) on July 14.

Paula Brunetti, an official with the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, recently said Italy is happy about the Iranian deal and the country seeks to be Iran 's special partner, IRNA news agency reported July 22.

Italy used to be number one trade partner with Iran before international sanctions restricted Iran 's foreign business.

The oil company Eni was one of the main partners of the National Iranian Oil Company.

Despite sanctions, Italy has not been totally dismayed with the Iranian market, testified to by the fact that last June 26 Italian companies took part in the Iran Project, an Iranian economic exhibition covering a variety of fields.

The Italian Foreign Ministry has announced that Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni is slated to meet Iranian President Hassan Rouhani, Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, and a host of other high-ranking Iranian officials.

Federica Guidi, Italy 's Minister of Economic Development has also said she intends to meet high-ranking officials from the all the economic-oriented ministries of Iran.
