Iran’s 4-month non-oil export hits $14M

Iran exported non-oil goods worth $14.015 million for four months of the current Iranian fiscal year (which started March 21), a new report, which was published by Iran's Customs Administration on August 1, said.

The exported non-oil products amounted in weight to over 32,000 metric tons, says the report Industrial, agricultural, and mineral products as well as carpet and handicraft were the main categories of exported goods, the report said.

The exported non-oil goods for the same period of the previous year had stood at $16.528 million and weighed 34,800 metric tons.

Accordingly, the value of the products suffered 15.20 percent decline and their weight lowered by 6.87 percent this year.

During the same period Iran imported worth $13.8 million of goods which weighed 11,400 metric tons.

The number was $17.3 million in value and 13,000 metric tons in weight the same period of the previous year.

Therefore, this year the value and weight of the imported goods grew by 20.2 percent and 12.3 percent, respectively.

The imported goods were mainly livestock food, rice, soybean meal, industrial machinery, and automobile parts.
