A trade delegation from Azerbaijan will attend the 24th Iran Handmade Carpet Exhibition, to be held August 23-30 in Tehran.
It will be the fourth Azerbaijani trade delegation to have visited Iran since one month ago, Jafar Shahidi, trade aide to Iranian ambassador in Baku, told Trend Aug. 22.
He said the 3rd delegation that visited Tehran, comprised of a number of private sector managers who traveled to Iran to attend the 15th International Construction Exhibition which was held August 9 to 12 in Tehran.
That exhibition provided good opportunity for trade delegations from both countries to seek cooperation venues and further know markets on each side, Shahidi said.
The second Azerbaijani trade delegation had visited Iran on July 20-24 on the sidelines of a decorative stones and mining exhibition.
Iranian official said that event created unique opportunity for both sides to seek investment opportunities, explore job creation chances, and get to know products, technology, and distribution opportunities in each other's markets.
Meanwhile the first Azerbaijani delegation visited Iran's ceramic, china, and related industries exhibition.
According to the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee, Iran's export to Azerbaijan during the first half of 2015 decreased 55.36 percent to $42.52 million year-to-year.
Azerbaijan's export to Iran also decreased 67.11 percent to $11.16 million during the mentioned period. Iran shared 0.19 percent of Azerbaijan's total export and 0.9 percent of total export in 1H2015.
