China, UAE main goods exporters to Iran

Iran purchased 70.6 percent of its total imported goods in the first seven months of 2015 from five countries - China, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Turkey and India.

China was the main exporter of goods to Iran in the mentioned period. Beijing 's exports accounted for 25.4 percent of Iran 's total imports in terms of value and 14 percent in terms of volume.
Iran imported 3.2 million metric tons of goods, worth $7.07 billion from China during the seven-month period.

The China exports to Iran witnessed a rise of 4.4 percent in terms of volume, meanwhile the value of the Islamic Republic's imports from China slightly increased by 0.5, according to Iranian Customs Administration latest monthly report published September 1.

Iran also imported 4.6 million metric tons of goods worth $6.16 billion from the UAE, which marks 22 percent of Iran's total imports' value.

Iran's imports from the UAE witnessed 27 and 23.4 percent fall respectively in terms of value and volume in comparison with the first seven months of 2014.

South Korea, Turkey, and India exported $2.54 billion, $2.1 billion, and $1.8 billion worth of goods respectively to Tehran.

India and Turkey's exports value to Iran have decreased by 38.8 percent and 2.8 percent respectively during the period, meanwhile the exports of South Korea to the country indicates a rise of 5.7 percent compared with the same period of preceding year.

While the volume of exports from South Korea to Iran has increased 41.6 percent, India 's exports to the Islamic Republic have fallen by 27.6 percent in terms of volume. The volume of Turkey 's exports to Iran also witnessed a rise by 19 percent during the seven-month period.

Iran imported $27.84 billion worth of goods during the first seven months of 2015, which indicates a decline of 15.4 percent, compared to the same period of the preceding year.

Tehran's overall non-oil trade turn over stood at $48.5 billion during the first seven months of 2015. Imports shared 57.4 percent of the mentioned figure.
