Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept.1

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Construction of Anahita Oil Refinery with some ‫€2.6 billion investment started in Iran's western province of Kermanshah.

The project was approved in 2006, but its implementation was stopped in 2007, Iran 's Tasnim news agency reported on August 31.

Shasta Social Security group, the National Retirement Fund, and the Oil Group hold 33.3 percent, 33.3 percent and 33.4 percent share of the refinery, respectively.

The refinery will produce 25 million liters of oil products, meeting euro-5 standards. The project will create some 12,000 jobs, as well.

Iran's oil production climbed by 50,000 barrels a day to 2.9 million in August, the highest since July 2012, when more sanctions were imposed on the Islamic republic to curb its nuclear program.

Under an agreement Iran and six world powers reached in Vienna last month, the US agreed to end efforts to limit Iran 's oil sales.
