Iran exports over 5.7M liters of ATK to Armenia, Afghanistan

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: Iran exported over 5.7 million liters of Aviation Turbine Kerosene (ATK) to Armenia, Afghanistan in the sixth Iranian fiscal month (August 23-September 22).

Keramat Veiskarami, director of Arak region of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, said 1.235 million liters of ATK was exported to Afghanistan and 4.585 million liters was exported to Armenia, Iran's Mehr news agency reported Oct. 16.

Meanwhile, 3.091 million kilograms of LPG was exported to Afghanistan and 3.537 kilograms of LPG was exported to Pakistan, he added.

Moreover, 3.5 tons of sulfur was exported to China during the same period, he noted.

On May 30, Saeed Mahjoobi, an official with the National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company, said Iran has been turned into the world's biggest fuel oil exporter. For the time being, some 100 million liters of fuel oil is produced in the country's refineries, he noted.

Exporting fuel oil in large volumes is on the agenda, he said, adding that fuel oil has been replaced with natural gas in many power plants and industrial units in the country.
