The Iranian government has announced its economic program for the post-JCPOA era.

The policies are made for the six months from the JCPOA implementation onset to the removal of sanctions, which is a special time period, government spokesman Mohammad Baqer Nobakht said.

He added that the plan is based on resistance economy, a notion introduced by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, which seeks production and export boost, IRNA news agency reported October 17.

He said during a session with Economy Minister Ali Tayyebnia, Central Bank President Valiollah Seif, and President Hassan Rouhani the overview of the plan was agreed upon.

While the Ministry of Economy, Central Bank of Iran, and the Management and Planning Organization are tasked with making plans, the provision of fund for government expenditure is relegation to the Management and Planning Organization and the policies of money and credit are laid upon the Ministry of Economy and the Central Bank, he explained.

He also said that policies are adopted to make the country experience an economic growth rate of eight percent.

During the implementation of the JCPOA, international sanctions on Iran are to be removed. Therefore, the Iranian government is trying to make the most of the situation.

The Rouhani administration received the office in 2013 while inflation rate was above 40 percent and economic growth in the negative.
