Iran exported 27 million tons of goods in the first half of the current Iranian fiscal year (March 21-September 22).
During the six-month period, some 19 million tons of oil and non-oil products were also imported to the country, according to data released by the Road Maintenance and Transportation Organization of Iran.
Imports and exports were declined by 8 percent and 12.6 percent, respectively, compared to the same period of last year.
The volume of oil and non-oil imports via seas amounted to 1.102 million tons and 17.13 million tons, respectively.
Meanwhile, the volume of oil and non-oil exports via seas amounted to 6.072 million tons and 17.619 million tons, respectively.
Moreover, the volume of oil and non-oil imports via roads amounted to 23,098 tons and 723,183 tons, respectively, while the volume of oil and non-oil exports via seas amounted to 736,563 tons and 2.566 million tons, respectively.
In total, oil and non-oil exports via the roads network increased by 4.2 percent compared to the first half of the previous Iranian fiscal year. Meanwhile, oil and non-oil imports rose by 3.8 percent year on year.
