Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines will launch shipping routes from the Persian Gulf to South and North Americas after the removal of international sanctions against Tehran.

The head of Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines, Mohammad Saeidi, said the his company is also planning to re-launch a shipping route from the Persian Gulf to the Europe and African states as well, ISNA news agency reported Dec. 23.

According to him the destinations of the shipping route in the Europe are mainly Italy, France, Germany, the UK and Belgium.

The official added that re-launching the shipping lines will increase the level of Iran's exports.

He also expressed hopes that his company will be able to renew its fleet after the removal of sanctions as ship builders refused to hand over new vessels to Iran due to the international sanctions.

Iran expects the international sanctions imposed by the West on its financial and industrial sectors to be lifted in early 2016, as it is adhering to the terms of a milestone nuclear accord inked between Tehran and the world powers in July.

Under the nuclear deal, the sanctions against Tehran will be lifted in exchange for scaling down Iran's nuclear activities.
