A report by the Supreme Audit Court of Iran shows that last Iranian fiscal year (which ended March 20), the country made $42.353 billion from oil and gas condensates sales.

The report adds Iran could not sell 22 percent of its produced gas condensates during the said period, Fars news agency reported January 19.

The report explains that Iran produced 1.056 billion barrels of oil, of which 37 percent, that is, 391 million barrels worth $32.228 billion was exported.

It adds 60 percent of the produced oil, 635 million barrels, was fed to refineries, while the remaining 3 percent was offered on the Energy Market, went waste in transfer and production, or was left on hand at the end of the period.

According to the report, Iran produced 203 million barrels of gas condensates during the said year.

It exported 52 percent of the product, about 105 million barrels, which was worth $8.187 billion. Also, 26 percent of the product, about 53 million barrels, was fed to refineries and petrochemical units.

The remaining 22 percent was offered on the Energy Market, wasted during production or transfer operations, or left on hand at the end of the period.

Iranian officials have repeatedly announced that Tehran will increase its current oil export of one million barrels per day by 500,000 barrels as soon as sanctions are removed.

The figure is planned to increase by another 500,000 to two million barrels per day within a six month period at the next step.

Iran counts gas condensates as nonoil commodity and its income as nonoil revenues.
