Iran increases condensate output

Iran's gas condensate output between March 20 and April 20 has increased by 35 percent as compared to the same period last year.

Abdolhossein Samari, National Iranian Gas Company's deputy managing director for operations, has said that the country's gas refineries have produced about 2.9 million cubic meters of condensate in the mentioned period, SHANA news agency reported.

In the meantime, the refineries have processed 16 million cubic meters of natural gas, he added.

Abdolhossein Samari noted that the refineries also produced 227,000 tons of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) in the mentioned period.

The International Energy Agency has suggested that Iran's crude oil production increased by 0.3 million barrels per day in the first quarter of 2016 to 3.3 million barrels per day in March.

Iran's Customs Administration in its latest report has said that the Islamic Republic exported about 1.34 million ton of gas condensate (equal to 380,000 barrels per day) during the first month of current fiscal year, started on March 20.

This is while the country produces about 700 million cubic meters of raw gas per day.
