Iranians officials have launched a new round of talks with AirBus to finalize deal on purchasing civil aircraft from the French manufacturer.

"Negotiations with AirBus for signing the contract began three days ago. We hope to reach a conclusion and sign the contract," Mehr news agency quoted Deputy Transport Minister Asghar Fakhrieh-Kashan said as saying.

Saying that the contract between Iran and AirBus has been prepared, he added that the deal should be examined because it contains various financial, legal, and administrative issues.

The both sides should make sure that their interests are protected within the contract, he added.

Iran and the French manufacturer inked a preliminary agreement on purchasing 118 airplanes worth about $27 billion in January.

The preliminary agreement was inked during President Hassan Rouhani's landmark trip to Paris.
