Volume of operations in Iranian ports increases by 24%

The total amount of products loaded and unloaded at Iranian ports, has increased by 24 percent over the past three months compared to the same period of time last year.

Between 20 March and 21 May, 49.953 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded at about 28 ports across the country, statistics by the country's Ports and Maritime Organization reported.

The statistics also suggest that the volume of the non-oil products (loaded and unloaded) increased by five percent while the figure for oil products has hiked by 37 percent.

In the mentioned period 38.942 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded at the country's ports.

The figure for loading oil products in the mentioned period is 27.690 million tons.

According to the statistics, 4.435 million tons of oil products have been unloaded in the mentioned period.
Iran also unloaded 6.576 million tons of non-oil products at its ports over the past month.
