Iranian private sector companies have agreed on $3billion worth of deals during Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif's recent European tour.

An Iranian commerce official has said that the business delegation accompanying Zarif during the tour has signed a number of documents on cooperation with companies from Poland, Finland Latvia and Sweden, Donya-e-Eqtesad newspaper reported.

Mohammad Reza Ansari, the vice-president of Iran Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mine and Agriculture, said the deals have been signed in the form of memorandum of understanding (MoU) and further discussions are required in order to finalize them.

Minister Zarif led an economic and political delegation during his recent tour kicked off May 29 aimed at promoting trade and economic opportunities.

It was earlier announced that the business delegation signed documents on cooperation with Polish and Finnish companies worth up to $1.2 billion.
