Zarif: Iran’s oil debtors pay off $8B following JCPOA implementation

Iran's debtors have settled $8 billion-debts from outstanding payments over past oil purchases when the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented Jan. 16, an Iranian minister said.

Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has said that Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), so far, has paid off $5 billion, IRNA news agency reported.

Meanwhile, Royal Dutch Shell Plc has cleared $2 billion, the foreign minister told Iranian parliament June12.

Zarif also added that India has already settled $1 billion out of its $6 billion outstanding payments adding that the rest will be made soon.

He further added that Greece and other countries are also making the outstanding payments.
