Iranian oil ministry is planning to hold several tenders within the coming months.

The Oil Minister Bijan Namdar Zanganeh has said that when tenders are being planned, Iran’s joint fields with neighboring countries have high priority, SHANA news agency reported.

He named South Azadegan, the 11the phase of South Pars and Farzad fields as the ministry’s top priorities.

According to him, at least 10 tenders will be held in the first phase, and then several tenders will be held for exploration operations.

Zanganeh added that the tenders are aimed at developing the country’s oil industry.

The tenders are believed to be the Islamic Republic’s first oil tenders since the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) was implemented on January 16.
