The amount of Iran’s foreign debts decreased by $75 million in value in a period of one month between April 20 – May 20 (Iranian month of Ordibehesht) compared to the preceding month.
According to the latest statistics released by Central Bank of Iran, the country’s foreign debt, including actual debts, reached $7.672 billion in Farvardin, the first month of current Iranian year (March 20-April 19).
The figure, however, reached $7.597 billion in the month of Ordibehesht.
The statistics also suggested that the country imported $1.98 billion worth of products (weight at 1.9 miollion tons) in Farvardin.
Meanwhile, the country exported $2.462 billion worth of products (weight at 6.8 million tons).
This is while the country’s imports in the month of Ordibehesht amounted to $3.5 billion (weight at 2.6 million tons). Iran also exported $3.3billion worth of goods (weight at 8.59 million tons) in Ordibehesht.
