Iran to increase flight numbers to Tajikistan

Civil Aviation Organization of Iran has decided to increase the number of direct flights to Tajikistan.

At a meeting with Tajik Ambassador to Tehran Nematullo Emomzoda July 28, the head of Civil Aviation Organization, Ali Abedzadeh, said that he has agreed to launch more flights between Iran and Tajikistan, IRNA news agency reported.

The Iranian official further expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries in transportation sector will increase in the future.

Trade turnover between Iran and Tajikistan exceeded $228 million in 2014.


Last September, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and his Tajik counterpart President Emomali Rahmon signed 10 cooperation pacts and a joint statement on security, combating, trafficking and commerce.
