Cyprus wants in on Iran's hotel constructions business

Chairman of the Cyprus Employers and Industrialists Federation (OEB) Christos Michaelides has called for cooperation with Iran in the construction of hotels in the Islamic Republic.

Christos Michaelides has said that his organization has established an office in Tehran to facilitate cooperation between investors from both countries, IRNA news agency reported.

At a meeting with Iranian Deputy Minister of Cooperative, Labor, and Social Welfare Mohammad Taghi Hosseini, Christos Michaelides said that a document on cooperation has recently been between his organization and Iran’s Social Securities Investment Co.

In his turn, Mohammad Taghi Hosseini welcomed expansion of cooperation between the two countries and said there are proper opportunities for foreigners to invest in Iran.

Earlier this year, Iran and Cyprus also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand cooperation in transportation sector.
