Iran has freed the sale of aviation fuel to European airlines inside the country. The government had previously banned aviation fuel sale to Europeans.

Fuel to foreign airlines will be priced and sold at a floating rate, according to Mansur Riahi, CEO of National Oil Product Distribution Company, Mehr news agency reported Sept. 9.

He said every day about 4 million liters of aviation fuel is distributed in the country.

Before it stopped selling fuel to foreign airlines, Iran supplied foreign airlines with 116 million liters of fuel in 2014.
