Iranian petchem factory’s assets abroad freed

The Iranian Arak Petrochemical Co.’s assets abroad have been freed in the wake of the removal of economic sanctions on the country.

The company’s CEO Khodadad Gharibpour said $1 million of its assets in Japan as well as €4.6 million in Germany have been freed, Mehr news agency reported September 17.

At present, all the money for exported products of the company are being received upon the completion of the transactions and there is no assets frozen abroad, Gharibpour stated.

Iran’s nuclear deal with the world powers was implemented in January, according to which economic sanctions on the country were lifted.

Various Iranian companies used to have amounts of money frozen abroad under the sanctions.
